The Physician Substitute is responsible for the evaluation of potential donors for automated plasmapheresis procedures. Administration and supervision of approved immunizations per state regulations. Providing limited emergency care including the administration of any medications or treatments in accordance with licensure or certification, training, and SOP guidance. Working knowledge of all areas of operation in the plasma center. Maintains compliance with SOP, current Good Manufacturing Procedures (cGMP), and regulatory guidelines. </p>
<p>
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p>
<p>Evaluates Donor Suitability<br />
<br />
Determines donor suitability of new and applicant donors for plasmapheresis procedures and immunizations by conducting evaluations to ensure criteria of normal plasma donors are met and in accordance with SOP, FDA, CLIA, and cGMP. <br />
Reviews informed consent forms for plasmapheresis, immunization, and clinical trials. <br />
Answers and discusses any donor questions and ensures the donor is given a clear opportunity to refuse participation. <br />
Obtains donor medical histories and performs physical examinations. <br />
Maintains Physician/Physician Substitute log regarding donor suitability. <br />
Understand and utilize centers donor management computer software. </p>
<p>Maintains Donor Center Compliance<br />
<br />
Maintains donor center emergency supplies in accordance with standard operating procedures. <br />
Uses the DCOP to facilitate compliance with regulations. <br />
Performs quality control on laboratory equipment and participates in proficiency testing reviews. <br />
Complies with federal, state, local and company-specific regulations related to quality of product, employee and donor safety and to the proper performance of day-to-day activities. <br />
Reviews donor charts for accuracy. </p>
<p>
Manages Donors<br />
<br />
Reviews accumulated data in a timely fashion to confirm suitability and consult with donor center physician as needed. <br />
Classifies donors to appropriate program. <br />
Monitors donor reactions to plasmapheresis and document accordingly. <br />
Interacts with donor center Physician regarding ordering immunizations. <br />
Performs immunizations and monitors donor reactions to immunization and document data accordingly. <br />
Reviews titer results and document on DRF for physician review. <br />
Maintains physician-physician substitute log regarding immunizations. <br />
Reviews all normal and abnormal test results and donor files to determine continued donor eligibility. <br />
Maintains confidentiality with respect to employee, donor, and center records reviewed during the course of all duties. <br />
Counsels donors with abnormal test results and defers donors according to deferral matrix. <br />
Provides appropriate medical care to donors during plasmapheresis procedures if complication arises. <br />
May be required to perform functions of Medical Screener, Sr. Medical Screener, Donor Floor Technician, Phlebotomist, Sr. Phlebotomist, Plasma Processing Technician, or Sr. Plasma Processing Technician. <br />
Performs other job related tasks as assigned. </p>
<p>
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:</p>
<p>Graduate of a recognized healthcare related educational program such as Physician, Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse. Certified/licensed as an emergency medical technician (EMT 2-intermediate or 3-advanced/paramedic). <br />
Any specific state licensing requirements must be met per location. <br />
1 year experience in the hospital or field care or experience in a plasma center preferred. <br />
Each individual performing moderate complexity testing must possess a current license issued by State in which the center is located, based on any required state regulations. <br />
Must have excellent patient/donor assessment skills. <br />
Must be able to manage emergency situations in accordance with standard medical care practices. <br />
Must have current cardiopulmonary (CPR) license/certificate in the state in which the center operates. <br />
Must be highly organized and have attention to detail. <br />
Possess effective diagnostic, customer service, and people management skills. <br />
Ability to understand and follow SOPs and protocols. <br />
Maintain current and valid license and pass medical credential evaluation. <br />
Must possess basic computer knowledge and skills. Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel preferred. <br />
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English. Bilingual skills in Spanish required in some locations. <br />
Demonstrate consistency and reliability (good attendance, punctual, apply full effort throughout shift, flexibility with assigned schedule). <br />
Ability to work day and evening hours, weekends, holidays and extended shifts on a frequent basis. </p>
<p>PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:</p>
<p>Ability to sit or stand for extended periods for up to four (4) hours at a time. <br />
Ability to tug, lift and pull up to thirty-five (35) pounds. <br />
Be able to bend, stoop or kneel. <br />
Occupational exposure to blood borne pathogens and various chemicals/odors. <br />
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. <br />
Manual dexterity to perform all phases of donor plasmapheresis. <br />
Required to enter an environment with a temperature of -40°C for short periods of time. <br />
Physical ability to perform CPR and sufficient mobility to immediately assist in any adverse donor reactions. </p>

Our Marcus Short Term Sub-Acute Rehab Center offers post-hospital rehabilitation, our outpatient rehab services serve individuals of all ages and our long term care program is focused on maintaining individuals at their highest level of functioning. As a state-of-the-art therapy department, we utilize an electronic medical record and interdisciplinary approach to treatment. </p>

Responsibilities and Qualifications: This position will provide support to the Clinical Research Center by providing various nursing services for the subjects participating in research studies. </p>
<p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to: <br />
	Study drug administration (IV, oral, SQ, IM, and etc) <br />
	Serial lab draws (IV and Phlebotomy)<br />

	Vital signs and nursing assessments<br />

This person will work in the Short Term care area helping patients after hip replacement, stroke, and surgery rehab.<br />

Duties:	JOB KNOWLEDGE AND ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:</p>
<p>1. The Physical Therapist will develop and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs that enable patients to achieve maximum outcomes including functional abilities and quality of life following surgery, stroke, or disease.</p>
<p>2. Interacts with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care.</p>
<p>3. Coordinates and participates in departmental and rehab services activities such as programs, projects, and performance improvement. </p>

We are currently seeking a full time Registered Nurse to work at our Arlington location. The right candidate will have the following: </p>
<p>Position Summary </p>
<p>The Registered Nurse will perform a variety of duties to ensure that quality nursing care is provided in maintaining an atmosphere allowing for the privacy, dignity and well-being of patients.</p>
<p> Essential Duties and Responsibilities </p>
<p>	Ensures that physician orders are followed for all patients;<br />
<br />
	Applies knowledge, skill and judgment in providing patient care;<br />
<br />
	Promotes and participates in providing accurate recording of medications and treatments given to patients;<br />
<br />
	Post anesthesia nursing practice includes systematic continuous assessment of the patients condition. RN will ensure that data is collected, documented, and communicated;<br />
<br />
	Continuously measures patient progress toward designated outcomes and revises plan of care and interventions as necessary;<br />
<br />
	Reports significant observations and information to the physician and Anesthesiologist/CRNA;<br />
<br />
	Assesses the patient response immediately post operatively, reports pertinent information performs appropriate interventions, and evaluates patient responses;<br />
<br />
	Promotes the improvement of nursing care within the unit;<br />
<br />
	Conforms to and promotes acceptance of established objectives, policies, and procedures;<br />
<br />
	Assists in maintaining a stock of supplies and equipment for the unit. Promotes proper utilization of them;<br />
<br />
	Maintains unit drugs and reorders as needed. Observes for outdated stock. Maintains Emergency Cart, equipment and drugs;<br />
<br />
	Evaluates the performance of assigned co-workers, reporting process or need for improvement to the Executive Director;<br />
<br />
	Follows the chain of command; communicating reportable situations to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner. Maintains confidentiality of management information, displays discretion &#038; good <br /> judgment in communication methods;<br />
<br />
	Adheres to all approved centers policies and procedures. Notifies supervisor of any deviation from approved policy;<br />
<br />
	Assists in the orientation of new employees to the recovery area;<br />
<br />
	Ability to accept counseling from direct supervisor in a positive manner. Displays an ability and desire to initiate corrective action;<br />
<br />
	Becomes familiar with the centers FIRE, SAFETY, and DISASTER Plan, and his/her role in the event of each;<br />
<br />
	Ensures timely completion of variance reports for all situations;<br />
<br />
	Cost effective in materials management. Assumes responsibility for timely verification of supplies used in the area of recover;<br />
<br />
	Maintains satisfactory attendance. Notifies the Administrator if unable to report to work;<br />
<br />
	Is punctual in arriving for duty on assigned work days.<br />
<br />
 <br />
Other Skills and Abilities</p>
<p>	Adequate clinical knowledge and skills to plan, evaluate, and perform the quality of nursing care which will meet the standards of nursing established by the pain center.<br />
<br />
	Cognizant of established safety regulations;<br />
<br />
	Knowledgeable in the techniques to prevent the spread of disease and an awareness that the job may require contact with a communicable disease;<br />
<br />
	Knowledge of emergency equipment/drugs with the ability to react promptly and professionally in any situation.</p>
<p>Education </p>
<p>Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing;<br />
<br />
Current registration with the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners;<br />
<br />
Evidence of current CPR certification;<br />
<br />
Evidence of current ACLS; or certification within six months of date of hire;<br />
<br />
One year of previous experience in the PACU, ICU or ED.</p>

<p><strong>Education:</strong> Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. Bachelor&#8217;s degree preferred. Current California Registered Nurse licensure required.&nbsp; Specialty certification required for new applicants, preferred for incumbents. Current Basic Cardiac Life Support for Healthcare Providers card required.<br /> &nbsp;<br /> <strong>Experience:&nbsp;</strong> Minimum of 3 years acute care nursing within the past 5 years, at least one year of which is within area of specialty.
